Growing up, I went from wanting to become a nurse to being a famous actress and eventually settled on a pop star. After years of working in the entertainment industry, including dressing up as Peppa Pig at children’s parties and wearing sparkly outfits in a 4 piece girl band, I entered into the world of weddings and events. Initially working for a luxury Indian wedding and event planning company I became obsessed with all things wedding and party related.
I opted not go to university, therefore I didn’t have a degree in Event Management. I was too busy trying to become the next Britney Spears. However I knew I wanted a career within the events industry, so I dusted off the CV and went for it. For the past two years I have been working at Mango Pie as a wedding and events designer, a career change I have never looked back on. Don’t worry, I do occasionally bring out the Britney, but that is usually in the shower or after a few too many French Martinis!. I am lucky enough to be creative on a daily basis, design fabulous events and work with some of the most talented and creative minds in the wedding and events industry.
Working closely with the likes of florists, stationery designers, caterers and venues, I am constantly inspired by upcoming trends, styles and designs. I wanted to create a place where I can share that with others.
With a reputation for being a chatterbox and my somewhat quirky personality, this blog will also cover my personal loves including my unhealthy obsession for shoes that are far too high ,food that isn’t necessarily good for me and life in general.
