This year Pantone’s colour of the year Ultra Violet is a vibrant hue that can add a striking, energetic and regal feel to any colour scheme. I have to be honest, bold purple tones are not often used within wedding decor these days, brides seem to be opting for safer, pastel shades. However you can create a very tasteful and sophisticated design using this daring colour and I hope the below images can show you how.
Ultra Violet commands attention, you can either be bold and use this prominent shade as the main canvas for your big day, or you could add subtle touches to slightly more neutral colour palette.

Ultra Violet Flowers: Hydrangea can add fullness to your bridal bouquet or arrangements and come in a verity of purple shades. Lavender, Hyacinth and Sweet Pea bring a delicious fragrance to your floral arrangements. Slightly more luxurious flowers are Anemones and Muscari and but these can be pricey. Classic English flowers such as Delphinium and Stock along with Giant Purple Alium are great for creating height and drama, these are more well suited to ceremony arrangements and table centrepieces. Scabiosa and Veronica are great for whimsical weddings as they provide a wild and natural look. Purple Kale and Succulents are perfect for a more organic feel. If you are planning a tropical or destination wedding Orchids can come in a variety of striking purple hues.
Always ask your florist and do your own flower research before setting your heart on your desired flowers. Flowers are completely dependent on season and you may fall in love with a bloom which may not be available at the time of your wedding.
